Despite the current global situation, it is expected to close the year-end 2020 yet again exceeding the figure of €200 million.

Oliana, 6th October, 2020.- Taurus Group maintains the growth trend in 2019, reaching over €205 million (+1.3%) mainly thanks to good EMEA and North American business performance. This increase in sales has led to record EBITDA levels for Group, amounting to €18.2 million compared to €13.6 million in 2018. The Group closed the year with a net result of €9.9 million, representing 4.8% on sales.

Managing Director Enric Tria commented:

“In 2020 we hope to maintain the positive trend seen over recent years, once again exceeding the results of the previous year despite the current situation caused by COVID-19, which has drastically affected the consumption and supply of raw materials in certain geographical areas.

During this financial year we have developed three new divisions both internally and via inorganic growth: Built-in, Biomass and Healthcare.

The first of these, resulting from the success of our cooker products, has involved the internal development of a complete range of ovens, hobs, hoods and microwaves, part of which are manufactured in Spain and which will be fully available by autumn 2020.

At the beginning of 2020, the acquisition of the French brand Supra was finalised, consolidating the Group’s presence on the French market and which will allowing to position itself in the biomass sector with an extensive range of fireplaces and heating systems. The Group intends to expand the range to other European markets, including Spain.

Healthcare, has been the latest division incorporated into the Group in response to the new demand for products associated with COVID-19, specialising in health, hygiene and wellness products, as well as products for germicidal treatment of public spaces for professional use.

Consolidation of the Group’s Core Business, as well as the new previously mentioned divisions, allow us to face the future with optimism and prospects of growth.

Within the strategic plan, we remain clearly committed to international expansion based on the Black+Decker™ brand and the online channel, as well as incorporating new businesses that allow us to consolidate positions in those countries where we operate or entering new channels, via acquisition of companies.” Accordingly, Taurus Hausgeräte GmbH was set up in mid-October to operate directly in Germany.
